What People Are Saying

“The foreshore adventure run is fun for all ages…you don’t have to be a seasoned athlete to get in a good workout. The obstacles were tough, fun and full of laughter.  I can’t wait for this year’s Adventure!”

— Kasey Spofford, ForeShore Adventure Runner

“Beautiful and challenging course! Great way to raise money for local people in need! Can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this year!”

Melissa Blackmer, ForeShore Adventure Runner

“The ForeShore 5K was crazy fun and a great way to spend quality time with my dad…while kicking his butt. The race was a fantastic way for people of all skill levels to get out there and have fun while working hard. The fact that running this race helped a deserving cause made it an even more rewarding experience to me.”

Hannah Potter, ForeShore Adventure Runner

“At first I thought wow, ‘Can I make it through all those obstacles?’ As I progressed through the course I was reminded how I felt as a child….free to laugh, fall and just look silly… Great race to just do and not worry about time!!”

— Cozette Thomas, ForeShore Adventure Runner

“This event is all about running to overcome life’s obstacles.  What sets this event apart from others, beyond its beautiful location, is that all the proceeds benefit the mission. Every dollar is used to help families in need right here in our community.”

— Kevin Newton, executive director, Muskegon Rescue Mission

“We are excited to host this unique event. Pere Marquette Park is the perfect venue for an adventure run that marries health and wellness with West Michigan’s greatest natural resource.  We hope this event soon becomes one of the cornerstones that kick off the beach season at Pere Marquette Park for many years to come”

Stephen Gawron, Muskegon’s mayor
